A collaboration between Richardson, Jordan Wolfson, David Sims, and Paul McCarthy has resulted in a line of tees and hoodies featuring imagery from Wolfson's latest artwork, ‘Body Sculpture,’ along with excerpts from an interview between Wolfson and McCarthy pulled from ‘Richardson Magazine A11: The Agency Issue.’
Wolfson's "Body Sculpture" is a robotic art piece that merges sculpture and performance to evoke emotional and physical reactions from viewers, reflecting contemporary societal issues. In his contemporary art practice, the Wolfson confronts societal challenges, positioning viewers to confront moral and physical dilemmas. His animatronic sculptures aim to deeply engage audiences, drawing from art history, technology, and popular culture.
McCarthy, a pioneering American artist, challenges artistic norms through varied mediums, including performance, photography, and sculpture, often with a darkly humorous tone. Moreover, renowned British photographer and director David Sims contributes to the project, pushing fashion photography boundaries. Also, the collection's editorial features Sims' children as models.
Proceeds from sales will support Medical Aid for Palestinians, aiding the urgent humanitarian crisis in Gaza.The collection releases this Thursday, March 21, at 9 a.m. ET on Richardsonshop.com.
