Do you remember that promo Pikachu card that caused a riot at the Van Gogh Museum? Well, it's about to be back in shop with tightened security to celebrate a series of Pokémon-related events at the Amsterdam-based institution this March.

The card featured Pikachu in Van Gogh's signature impressionistic style, while wearing a grey felt hat. As with the initial craze surrounding Pokémania in the '90s, the museum saw hoards of people rush to buy all the merch available when it first dropped last September. Previous reports state that the cards were instantly listed on e-commerce sites like eBay for upwards of $600 USD at the time of writing, but has since dropped to roughly half that cost today.

In addition to the Van Gogh museum shop, select stores in the Netherlands will also stock a new batch of the Pikachu cards, with rumors suggesting that customers who spend over $32 USD on Pokémon merchandise will receive the card free of charge. The Pokémon Company itself has yet to release an official announcement regarding the restock.

The partnership between the two unlikely collaborators was launched last year as a way to attract kids to learn more about Van Gogh's legacy. The show recently concluded earlier this month and included interactive and educational programs, as well as insight into Van Gogh's love for Japanese printing methods.
