To continue to elevate the outdoorsy streetwear aesthetic, the latest Salomon collaboration with 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi revisits everyday style with a more avant-garde vision of the body and the clothes that dress it.
In partnership with legendary climber Fred Nicole and the brand So III, the concept underlying the Salomon x 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi capsule collection titled "Athletic Bouldering," arrives for the Fall/Winter 2023 just in time for autumn hikes and adventures. The collection releases just a week after the second drop of the MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon collaboration.
The "Athletic Bouldering" collection features footwear and apparel, merging Salomon's heritage in outdoor sports with Boris' passion for climbing. With the pieces centering the idea of utilitarianism and bouldering, the capsule follows a function-first mentality. The sneakers, which are an updated version of the Salomon XT, receive a white and black iteration. Featuring zig-zagged overlays on the side panels and minimal text co-branding on the heel, the shoe takes on a lower-cut silhouette. For added comfort and technical aesthetic, the sole pieces are designed with a thicker heel for more support for trails.
Alongside the kicks, the collection features a pieces like a waterproof parka jacket, windbreaker, trousers, t-shirts and a hiking water back in the monochromatic color scheme. The entirety of the collection is packaged for a unique bouldering concept ready for those who want to be be active outside in the fall.
The collection is available from October 17 online at Salomon.
