Holby City star John Michie’s dying daughter was found by a music festival worker using a GPS location service on the actor’s phone.

Security worker Craig Welsh used a ‘Google maps pin’ on the iPhone to hunt down the last known location of 24 year old Louella Fletcher-Michie, but tragically by the time he got there she had died of a drug overdose.

Jurors heard he found her ‘curled up’ and covered in a coat, looking like she had ‘laid down for a sleep’ among trees at the edge of the Bestival site.

Unable to save her, he then identified the blonde woman by a photo on the 62 year old actor’s phone.

Mr Michie and his wife Carol made a 130-mile dash from their north London home to find their daughter at the site in Lulworth, Dorset, after telling staff she was having a ‘bad trip’.

Event controller Judy Beck told security staff not to let them in, instead asking them to make calls in an effort to find her themselves.

When Mr Welsh was shown Louella and her rapper boyfriend Ceon Broughton’s last known location on her dad’s phone, he volunteered to find her.

Tragically, by the time Mr Welsh reached her body it was too late, Winchester Crown Court heard.

Mr Welsh said: ‘Mr Michie had his mobile phone in his hand. He showed me a Google pin drop.

‘Both parents were distressed.’

After Mr Michie’s request to go looking for his daughter was refused, he said he knew where ‘the suggested area was’ and suggested taking the actor’s phone to go to the location.

Upon discovering Louella he said: ‘She was laid facing up. It was as if she was curled up.

‘Her knees were drawn up to her chest and to one side. From what I can recall, she was wearing a hoodie and a jacket over the top of her.

‘Her face was greyish, with blue lips. I noticed she was not breathing. Her eyes were open. I checked for a pulse and I got none. She was cold.’

Mr Welsh told jurors he then ran to get help.

Fellow security worker Aiden Lawrence said Broughton had been ‘erratic’ when he finally went to find help, adding he had joined Mr Welsh after Louella’s body was found.

Broughton, who has recorded with top rap artists Skepta and Wiley, filmed his girlfriend tripping on 2C-P, continuing to do so as her condition worsened and even allegedly after she died.

The on-site hospital was a mere 400 metres away, yet the court heard Broughton did not seek help in the six hours he spent with Louella in the woods.

Jurors have been shown shocking footage of Louella hallucinating wildly and repeatedly shouting ‘mum’, as well as ‘dad, I love you’, before slapping herself on the legs.

An audio clip revealed Broughton laughed at his girlfriend before she appeared to start eating thorns.

Grisly ‘live’ iPhone images, taken by Broughton at 11.25pm, show a lifeless Louella laying on her back with bloodied hands.

Broughton, of Enfield, London, denies manslaughter and supplying class A drugs.
