Chelsea booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup after cruising to a 5-0 victory over Morecambe on Saturday afternoon. The Blues took a while to get going as their League Two opponents attempted to pull off a famous scalp.

Tosin Adarabioyo eventually fired the hosts ahead six minutes before the interval as his effort from the edge of the box wrongfooted Morecambe keeper Harry Burgoyne courtesy of a huge deflection.

Christopher Nkunku, who missed a penalty in the opening period, added a second just after the interval, with Adarabioyo smashing another thumping effort into the net 20 minutes from the end. The impressive Joao Felix then added a late brace to wrap up the win.

And Express Sport brings you the Chelsea player ratings from the encounter.

Filip Jorgensen: 5

Struggled to assert his dominance in between the sticks and looked shaky at times. Didn't have a great deal to do but looked unconvincing when called upon.

Reece James: 8

Has only made 14 Premier League appearances since the start of last season after enduring an injury nightmare but will be pleased to have come thorough the opening 45 minutes. Whipped in a series of sumptuous corners to lay on chances for his team-mates and teed up the opening goal of the match. Blues boss Enzo Maresca will be desperate for him to stay fit in the coming months.

Tosin Adarabioyo: 9

Pushed up into central midfield at times as Morecambe were pinned back. Was given too much space on the edge of the area for the opening goal as his effort found its way into the bottom corner following a fortunate deflection. Produced an incredible finish to fire in his side's third goal of the match from 20 yards.

Axel Disasi: 6

Headed an effort off target early on after being picked out by Reece James with a delivery from a free-kick. Was threatening at set-pieces and should have got his name on the scoresheet. Passed the ball straight out of play instead of picking out a team-mate half an hour into the game as his concentration lapsed.

Renato Veiga: 6

Inverted to provide an overload in midfield but would have had more success if he had overlapped on the outside and attacked from wide. Made the keeper work for the second goal, however, as Nkunku dispatched the rebound.

Romeo Lavia: 6

Had a quiet first half and allowed Morecambe to break forward on too many occasions. Was replaced at the break by Marc Cucurella.

Tyrique George: 7

Played on the left but was reluctant to get the ball wide and deliver crosses into the box early on. Continued to work hard and ended the match with two assists. Will be pleased with his efforts.

Pedro Neto: 7

Was the only player to keep his place from the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace last weekend. Was dangerous whenever he got the ball as he stretched his legs to showcase his pace, but lacked an end product.

Christopher Nkunku: 7

Fluffed his lines from the penalty spot as Burgoyne guessed correctly to keep the effort out. But made amends when he fired in the second goal of the game.

Joao Felix: 9

Did well to keep the ball in play and win a penalty in the first half, before forcing Burgoyne into an outstanding save just before the half-hour mark. Kept plugging away after the interval and was rewarded with two quickfire goals late on.

Marc Guiu: 6

Had the opportunity to open the scoring midway through the first half but fired his effort into the side netting. Was quiet throughout and wasn't able to push his claims for a Premier League start.

Substitutions

Jadon Sancho: 6

Tried to get on the ball but didn't excel against lower league defenders.

Marc Cucurella: 8

Added some much-needed energy in the second half.

Malo Gusto: 6

Replaced James at the break and slotted in nicely.
