'Immersive Hong Kong' draws 200,000 visitors in Dubai
More than 200,000 people visited an exhibition in Dubai showcasing the appeal and vibrancy of Hong Kong through interactive art technology. The "Immersive Hong Kong" exhibition was part of Hong Kong's broader initiative to strengthen ties with the Middle East, with Chief Executive John Lee and other senior officials leading delegations to the region since 2023, to tell good stories of the SAR. The event, held from December 20 last year to January 5, was organised by the Information Services Department and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai. Apollonia Liu, the Director of Information Services, said the city has been fostering closer ties with the Middle East. "We are very delighted with the positive response as well as the expansion of our circle of friends and network through staging this exhibition," she said. The Information Services Department said it will explore organising the exhibition in other cities later this year, after already holding it in Dubai, Jakarta, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Guangzhou.
