Rosalind Eleazar details 'dating' Matt Willis on Netflix show

Rosalind Eleazar, the star of gripping Netflix thriller Missing You, has shared an anecdote about some confusion that stemmed from a scene where she goes on a date with Matt Willis from Busted.

In Missing You, Eleazar plays Detective Kat Donovan, a dedicated investigator attempting to unravel the dark mystery of why her father was murdered.

In the show’s very first episode, Kat goes on a date with Darryl, a fitness enthusiast played by Willis.

The pair had very little on-screen chemistry, but it seems their fictional romance raised alarm bells for a member of Matt’s family.

While appearing on This Morning on Wednesday, Rosalind shared a funny anecdote with host Cat Deeley about Matt’s daughter’s reaction to seeing the scene.

Cat started the conversation, saying: “I was listening to the radio and you were on with Emma, and they were watching it together with their little girl.”

Rosalind then shared: “Yeah. They were watching together and I think she's at the age where she doesn't really understand that her dad is at work.

“So there’s this scene, right at the beginning, where I’m on a date with Matt from Busted. And apparently she just gave the side-eye to her dad, going, ‘What you doing with that woman? That’s not Mummy.’”

Rosalind laughed as she recalled how the Willis parents had to gently explain the concept of acting to their daughter.

Matt and his wife Emma share three kids – Isabelle, 15, Ace, 12, and Trixie, eight.

It’s likely that Rosalind was referencing Trixie on This Morning, given she is the youngest of the three.

The couple has taken care to keep their children out of the spotlight and usually posts family photos with their kids’ faces hidden.

During a previous interview, Rosalind shared her excitement about working with Matt and revealed that his presence caused a stir on set.

“All the makeup women were like, ‘Oh my god! It’s Matt from Busted,’” she said. “He’s such a lovely man and he’s so funny in that scene. He's so good and he was a real treat to work with.”

She added that hardly any of her friends knew she had acted alongside him, and would no doubt be shocked to see his cameo on the thriller.
