DJ Khaled left golf enthusiasts cringing after his chat with Marty Smith at the debut of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's Tomorrow's Golf League.

The long-awaited TGL kicked off at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where The Bay Golf Club clinched a 9-2 win over New York Golf Club, featuring stars like Shane Lowry, Wyndham Clark, Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler, and Matt Fitzpatrick.

A highlight from Tuesday night was DJ Khaled's interview that took social media by storm. The music tycoon, who's been vocal about his pro golf dreams, attended the TGL launch.

In conversation with ESPN's Smith, Khaled tooted his own horn about his golf skills, likening himself to Woods after sinking a putt and mentioning how the golf legend inspired him. "It was incredible," Khaled enthused to Smith.

"First of all, I don't know if they're going to play the highlight, but I nailed all my putts, right? I hit a great, great drive. And then my putts, my play, the one that went down the hill with the no look. And then, ohh, I was inspired by Tiger Woods on that one.

"I was inspired by Tiger Woods when I putted it, just walked away. I knew what he was in. She's gone.

"If you have confidence, that's what it's about. I want the young world out there to know if you got confidence, you're unstoppable.

"Don't worry, keep at it. But you know what? Golf is fun. And also, if you want to be competitive, I have a saying. Bring two bags, a golf bag and a brown paper bag."

However, it appears that Khaled's interview didn't go down well with fans on social media, with many expressing their displeasure. One user wrote: "Good grief, absolutely nobody cares about him," while another added: "And they call LIV a circus - seriously."

A third viewer commented: "worst part of the whole thing." Another remarked: "Can golf get away from this idiot."

A fifth said: "Had to turn it off after the 2nd. Flashy just for the sake of being flashy." A sixth noted: "There's a guy with this energy at every public course men's club league."

And a seventh stated: "I really cannot emphasize enough how much we do not need to see any more of DJ Khaled on this TGL broadcast."
