Honda Debuts "0 Saloon" and "0 SUV" Prototypes
Honda has unveiled two of its latest prototype vehicles at this year's CES, namely the "0 Saloon" and "0 SUV" — part of its upcoming 0 Series EV lineup, set for production in 2026.
The Honda 0 Saloon, the flagship model, features bold wedge-shaped styling and a spacious cabin despite its low profile. Meanwhile, the Honda 0 SUV, based on the Space-Hub concept, prioritizes flexibility and visibility with a focus on creating an "ever-advancing space." Both models integrate "ASIMO OS," Honda's in-house-developed operating system, designed to deliver "ultra-personal optimization" and seamless over-the-air (OTA) updates.
During the debut at CES, Honda emphasized its commitment to Level 3 automated driving technology, enhancing safety and enabling "eyes-off" driving in specific scenarios. Additionally, a collaboration with Renesas Electronics will see the development of a high-performance system-on-chip (SoC) for future iterations of the 0 Series.
At the time of writing, the new 0 Series is expected to begin production in 2026, starting with North American markets, to be followed by Japan and Europe. Pricing details for the two flagship models are yet to be announced.
