Ruben Amorim urged to make change as Alejandro Garnacho responds to Man Utd exile
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has been urged to restore Alejandro Garnacho's starting status after leaving him out of his team in six consecutive games. Amorim has snubbed the 20-year-old winger for a seventh time on the bounce at Anfield this afternoon, hours after some eye-catching social media activity.
Eagle-eyed supporters noticed that Garnacho had deactivated his X (formerly Twitter) account and added "NO TWITTER" to his Instagram bio.
The Argentine starlet has faced a barrage of criticism and abuse from disgruntled fans searching for a scapegoat throughout United's woeful season so far.

And after establishing himself as an untouchable start during Erik ten Hag's reign, Garnacho has fallen out of favour since Amorim's arrival.
Danny Murphy has urged the United boss to change his mind and restore Garnacho to his team rather than using him as an impact substitute.
"Alejandro Garnacho has not started any of Manchester United's last six games but would be one of the first names on my teamsheet at Anfield on Sunday," Murphy wrote for the Daily Mail.

"If Liverpool have shown any weakness this season, it has been when players like Anthony Gordon, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tyler Dibling have run at them at speed.
"When Arne Slot's men first see United's team, they'll be more concerned if Garnacho and Amad Diallo are in it rather than Rasmus Hojlund, for example.
"I know there has been mention of Garnacho showing dissent to Amorim, and it may turn out he is not part of United's long-term future because of the manager's preferred formation.
"But whatever happens in the future should be set aside on Sunday. Liverpool away is a one-off. It is United's biggest fixture, and Amorim desperately needs to get a result.

Garnacho is one of the few assets he has that will worry Liverpool.
"We saw against Newcastle on Monday that Hojlund running one-on-one against Fabian Schar posed little threat to a top defender."
Garnacho will start on the bench at Anfield, with Bruno Fernandes returning from his one-match suspension to join Amad and Rasmus Hojlund in attack.
