Black Myth: Wukong Developer Says Xbox Port Delay Is Due To The Series S

The developer of Black Myth: Wukong has said that the reason for the delay of its Xbox port is due to the Series S due to the Series S's memory being a bottleneck.

Over on Weibo, a Chinese social media app, GameScience CEO Feng Ji said that the Xbox Series S's 10GB of shared memory is a problem and has caused optimization issues. Last year, Microsoft stated that the game's delay was not due to Xbox hardware limitations, but the Series S has run into this problem before.

Baldur's Gate 3 was the biggest example of this, as it was released late for Xbox in 2023 as a result of technical issues related to the Series S version. Black Myth: Wukong was also reportedly a console exclusive for PlayStation 5, although neither Game Science nor Sony ever confirmed it.
