A Place In The Sun host opens up on future of popular Channel 4 show
A Place In The Sun star Jean Johansson has admitted she doesn't know if her other Channel 4 show Key To a Fortune will be getting a second series.
The show aired earlier this year and saw Jean tracking down the rightful inheritors to properties that have been left by a distant relative who didn't leave a will. She then surprised them with their unexpected windfall.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk in advance of the return of A Place In The Sun on January 6 she confessed she would love to get the chance to present a second season.
"You know the landscape in television [at the moment] - commissions are taking longer than ever left, right and centre. So I'm waiting patiently to hear about that.
"But yeah, I'd love to do another series, because I think with any show series two is when you iron out everything and can really go for it," she enthused.

Jean is very excited about this "promotion" for the aspirational property show saying it will "open it up to a wider audience."
"I think it sits really well at six o'clock. I just think it's a lovely time. And there might be more families sitting around watching it as well.
"You know, three o'clock kids are still in school, so maybe those sort of younger teenagers might be sitting around and it moves into the realms of being a family show," she enthused.

"It's exciting... there's going to be more eyes on it and I think it fits really well in that time slot, because there's so much drama in places and it's almost like a soap.
"You know you have people who deserve this property. They hate this one. They're in a bad mood. They buy it at the end.
"It's a script that we couldn't write if we tried. So I think that it fits really well in that time slot. And I just hope that even more people are going to enjoy it."
