Emmerdale fans fear show exit for major character after dramatic collapse

Emmerdale: Kim Tate is Will Taylor's blackmailer

Emmerdale fans were left in suspense this Christmas Day as Will Taylor, played by Dean Andrews, collapsed following a heated argument with Kim Tate.

Despite his recent change of heart, Will's plot against his wife was revealed just moments after their vow renewal ceremony. As Kim declared their relationship over, Will suddenly fell to the floor clutching his chest.

Kim appeared bewildered as she watched her partner collapse. As he pleaded for her forgiveness, he stumbled forward, knocking down everything in his path.

A previous flashforward had hinted at a disturbance at Home Farm involving a toppled Christmas tree, which we now know was caused by Will's unexpected health crisis. But what exactly is wrong with Will, and will he pull through?

The show's spoilers did not reveal that Will would be exposed or fall ill, leaving his fate uncertain. However, there may be some hints about whether he survives, reports the Mirror.

Fans will have to wait until Boxing Day's episode to learn what has happened and if all will be well, but could this really be Will's exit from the show?

One thing is certain: this isn't the first time Kim has witnessed such a scene. Many years ago, in the same room, her husband Frank Tate died of a heart attack, and Kim simply walked out and left him.

Kim has transformed over the years and it's evident that she deeply cares for Will. Whether she can forgive him and continue their relationship is uncertain, as is the reaction of his daughter Dawn to his ominous scheme for Kim.

Actor Dean recently had a chat with The Mirror and other media outlets about the upcoming episode, but he didn't hint at leaving the show or Will facing death. In the world of soaps, anything can happen - could Will be on the brink of a grim fate, or might he be rescued?

Is he pretending to have a sudden health problem to distract Kim from her plan to leave him? The audience will have to stay tuned.

This comes as his plot with Peter and Joe Tate to ruin Kim was revealed by Joe himself. Joe alleged that Will had approached Kim's son Jamie Tate for a revenge mission when he and Kim were not on good terms.

Joe informed Kim that Jamie declined this offer, so he accepted Will's proposal - while Will was clueless about who he was conspiring with, only aware that Peter was involved. Joe now insists that he was protecting Kim by setting up Will - but what is he really planning?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays
