Chris Kamara has shared an enthusiastic update after he announced his involvement with Amazon's Premier League Boxing Day football coverage, marking a return to broadcasting two years after he stepped back from his duties due to a rare neurological disorder. Kamara will give live updates from the Nottingham Forest versus Tottenham clash at The City Ground, collaborating once again with ex-Sky Sports comrade Jeff Stelling, who will be anchoring in the studio.

The 66-year-old confirmed on X, previously known as Twitter, his upcoming appearance on TV screens, expressing gratitude towards Amazon for the opportunity. Elated about his return, Kamara posted a video message on Amazon's X profile stating: "Hi everyone. For those of you, who have missed the news last week, I'm delighted to be joining Prime's Boxing Day coverage which includes eight games and over 10 hours of action.

"I'll be at the City Ground for Nottingham Forest vs Spurs, reporting back to my old mate, the unbelievable Jeff Stelling, who will have every game and every goal. I'm so excited to be back and can't wait to be doing what I love the most!"

Stelling reciprocated the excitement on X, saying: "And I'm looking forward to it as much as you, mate. There's a goal at the City Ground, but for who, Chris Kamara?"

Kamara became a beloved figure on Soccer Saturday alongside Stelling, made a name for himself on Soccer AM, and was the face of Goals on Sunday. However, in a blow to his broadcasting career, he revealed in March 2022 that he had been diagnosed with apraxia of speech (AOS), an uncommon neurological condition affecting his speech and cognitive functions, leading to his departure from Sky.

On to football news, Liverpool are set to take on a struggling Leicester City at Anfield onBoxing Day, with manager Arne Slot aiming to solidify their position at the Premier League summit. The Reds have a sterling record against the Foxes, boasting four consecutive league victories at home since January 2019.

Following their stunning 6-3 victory against Tottenham last Sunday, Slot reflected: "Until 60, 65 minutes, I really, really, really enjoyed what I saw. Of course, we were caught one time in bringing the ball out from the back and that immediately led to a goal for Tottenham.

And I am looking forward to it as much as you mate. There’s.a goal at the City ground but for who Chris Kamara ?……

"You think if we would have gone into the dressing room with a 2-1, that would not have done justice to all the chances we had – that's why I was quite happy with the fact that we scored the 3-1. Then 4-1, 5-1, incredible display.

"But then you also saw that no matter how much quality players have, if they think they don't have to run anymore then in this league, especially against Tottenham because they are so good with the ball as well, they immediately start to create, and that's what they did and they scored two goals. I was happy that the sixth one went in, to be fair."
