T.J. Holmes Is 'Anxious' to Spend 1st Blended Family Christmas With Amy Robach
and are finally getting the chance to celebrate Christmas as a blended family after their high-profile scandal.
“This has been a long road coming. So we’ve been together for more than two years, and this was our first Thanksgiving that we got to spend actually together, and this is going to be the first Christmas Eve and Christmas morning we wake up together,” Robach, 51, said during the Wednesday, December 18, episode of their “Amy and T.J.” podcast. “But we did that for our daughters. We let them lead the way, and we wanted them to be ready before any of this started.”
Robach and Holmes, 47, are looking forward to spending the holidays with their respective kids — Robach shares two daughters, Annalise, 21, and Ava, 18, with ex-husband while Holmes is father of 10-year-old Sabine with ex-wife .
“I’m really looking forward to recognizing how cool it is that we get to spend quiet time together, quiet time with our daughters for the first time since we’ve been together,” Robach continued. “And so this is [a] really big, important month, and I’m trying to remember and not get lost in the craziness of it all, but really try to remember how grateful I am that we’re at the place we’re at.”

You’re opening gifts in front of each other, you’re working up together on the most important of holidays to a lot of folks. So no, it’s just brand new. It’s brand new for everybody.”

The former GMA3 coanchors made headlines more than a year ago after photos surfaced of them getting cozy outside of the office. Robach and Holmes ultimately parted ways with their respective spouses, which they have since claimed happened before they started dating each other.
Robach said on their podcast in December 2023 that she and Holmes have been “very thoughtful” and “very patient” as they navigate their children’s feelings about their relationship. “But things are good,” she added. “They’re peaceful. We want to continue to build on that.”

Taylor Hill/WireImage“My little one has known Robach since she was 1 and now she’s knowing Robach in a different way in a different role, but it’s been the greatest,” he explained about allowing Sabine to “guide” their dynamic. “I’m always just open. ‘Robach is here, we’re hanging, do you want to do this?’”
Holmes continued: “The past few months she has volunteered. ‘Robach is there, can I come by? You and Robach are doing what? Can I get a piece of that?’ Like, voluntarily. It’s really been one of the most touching things recently to see how she wants to be a part and included and enjoys the time with us.”
