Helen Skelton bid farewell to Morning Live viewers as she has concluded filming for 2024.

The 41-year-old became a permanent presenter on the BBC show in January, alternating with Michelle Ackerley every Monday to Wednesday. Helen has been hosting alongside Rav Wilding over the past few days whilst Gethin Jones continues starring in Cinderella.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday (December 19), Helen thanked her co-star as she announced that this would be her last appearance on Morning Live until 2025.

Helen shared a selection of snaps and videos from her time on Morning Live over the past few weeks, adding the caption: "Lewks and lols of the last couple of weeks at work. Over and out 2024."

After thanking Rav for a "great" few days, Helen added: " To work with ladies and gents who want to do a good job and know you need to get out on time for the kids carol concert is the ultimate pay day. Crazy proud of the content my colleagues are making.

"We hope it helps you in any small way. Taking nothing for granted."

Helen shared a sneak peek into her upcoming plans over Christmas, adding: "Here’s to loading up the cheese board and putting home alone on repeat."

She signed off the post: "Looking forward to having you back in 2025," tagging both Gethin and Morning Live.

Last week, it was revealed that Gethin would be absent from Morning Live in the lead up to Christmas as he uploaded a series of images documenting the press night of Cinderella.

The 46-year-old is starring as Prince Charming in the pantomime which is on at The New Theatre in Cardiff.

Alongside a selection of pictures showcasing highlights from the show, Gethin told his followers: "The ball has officially begun! Press night done. Everyone was fab and I remembered all my words! What a blast..! #Cinderella."

Gethin received an influx of supportive messages from his co-stars, with Rav writing: "Go well bud!"

Helen added: "Looks fantastic, " as Kimberley Walsh echoed: "Looks like a great show!"

Gethin has taken a break from television for nearly two weeks to immerse himself in rehearsals.

Back in September, the presenter expressed his delight at spending the festive season in Wales while he performs on stage.

"Morning Live is based in Manchester and it is a trek to Cardiff so getting back to see family and friends is not always easy," he told Wales Online. "From a personal point of view, when the offer came in and I saw it said Cardiff I thought it would be amazing to be home and be around at Christmas."
