Lorraine: Sean Walsh says Hancock not on I'm A Celeb WhatsApp group

Ranvir Singh has been filling in for Lorraine Kelly on her daytime show while the beloved presenter enjoys a festive break. The stand-in, known for her role on Good Morning Britain, scooped some juicy revelations from an ex-I'm A Celeb contestant during a riveting chat.

The political correspondent was joined by Beyond Paradise's famed funny man Seann Walsh for a tell-all interview, only for him to inadvertently reveal that a former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! personality is no longer in their group chat.

Seann Walsh found himself reminiscing about his adventure in the Jungle back in 2022, drawing comparisons with the squad from the 2024 series.

Viewers will remember that Seann shared the limelight with ex-Health Secretary Matt Hancock not exactly the public's darling at the time due to his breach of Covid rules he had previously enforced in 2020.

In a slip of the tongue, Seann let it drop that Matt had been expelled from their Whatsapp group, immediately regretting his blunder: "Ohh what have I done," he said.

When asked about his friendship with Matt Hancock, Seann Walsh deftly sidestepped the question, remarking: "He finished above me, unbelievable."

Ranvir pressed on, asking if he still kept in touch with his fellow cast members, given the warm camaraderie of this year's I'm A Celebrity cast. Seann assured her that his group was equally "warm".

Unconvinced, the host continued her line of questioning, noting the unique circumstances of their season due to Covid and Matt Hancock's presence , reports the Mirror.

Seann finally conceded, recalling a tense argument between Boy George and Matt Hancock. He also revealed that he remains close with Sue Cleaver and Boy George, even sharing unrepeatable text exchanges with the latter.

Ranvir then asked: "But no little, 'How are you doing', from your old friend Matt?," to which Seann responded: "He's not in the group?" Before hastily adding: "Ohh no what have I done."

He then backtracked, saying: "Maybe he is. I don't know." This prompted Ranvir to suggest "moving on". Seann concluded: "I'm not the first to say that."

"Did he exit himself or did the admin go in an get rid of him?" queried Lorraine's substitute host. "Oh no, I'm not getting involved. Maybe he is back in the group," a visibly uncomfortable Seann responded.

"Back in the room, back in the group, you're backtracking now," the ITV star jested.

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1, from 9am.
