Kay Burley tipped for GB News presenting switch as Sky News exit fears rise
Kay Burley is reportedly set to leave her breakfast show on Sky News after 36 years on the news channel - and now bookies believe they've worked out where she will work next.
According to reports, the no-nonsense and widely respected broadcaster could leave her 7am to 10am slot in a matter of days.
Industry website Deadline has reported that the 63-year-old has been at the forefront of newsroom speculation surrounding her future at the company.
It is understood the mum-of-one is set to take a break from broadcasting on Thursday (December 19) for Christmas, but may not return to her role in the new year. A Sky insider told the publication: “It would be massive if she left.”

She has reported on several major world events over her career (Image: PA)Now, bookies have revealed what the brunette beauty could move on to next. According to Sportscasting.com, Burley could be set to join the team at GB News.
The company claims the she is likely to jump ship in 2025, with odds at 10/11 that she will move to GB News, followed closely by LBC at 5/1.
Meanwhile, away from the desk, the better experts have also suggested that the newsreader could be lined-up to be a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in the new year, with odds at 7/2.
Spokesman Andy Newton, told us: “Kay Burley has been a Sky stalwart for 35 years, but if the ‘news’ is correct her time on the channel looks to be coming to an end.

“With GB News viewing figures at an all-time high, I’m not shocked to see SportsCasting traders making her odds-on to end up with Farage and Co.
“However, away from the desk, Burley also looks a tailor-made Strictly contestant – so the 7/2 on her ‘foxtrotting’ to the hit BBC show next year is also not ruled out.”
Rumours of her exit are yet to be confirmed, meaning the bookies’ statements should be taken with a pinch of salt. Kay has hosted the 24-hour rolling news channel's breakfast programme for the last five years, moving from her afternoon slot in 2019.
She first joined Sky when it launched in 198 and claims to have hosted more live television than any other broadcaster. Kay has been the face of Sky News for major world events, such as the death of Princess Diana, the births of the Royal babies and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
