HBO and Sky are preparing for the much-anticipated return of the critically acclaimed murder mystery drama that has kept viewers on the edge of their seats season after season.

Each series introduces a fresh batch of A-list actors playing high-profile guests at a luxury hotel, all of whom could potentially meet a grisly end before their stay is over.

Almost every episode of this must-watch drama has had audiences shouting in disbelief at their televisions due to the shocking plot twists and unexpected character developments.

It's now been officially announced that the third season of The White Lotus will debut on Sunday, February 16th, with the exciting news of the release date coinciding with the launch of a gripping new trailer this week.

The upcoming season will take place in Thailand and follow another group of dysfunctional wealthy tourists whose spiritual retreat takes a sinister turn, reports the Mirror.

Walton Goggins and Sex Education's Aimee Lou Wood feature as a destructive couple, while Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan and Leslie Bibb seem to portray a set of sisters.

In the meantime, Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs appears lost in the wilderness, Parker Posey is self-medicating and returning character Belinda Lindsey (played by Natasha Rothwell) is in search of a fresh start.

Joining the enigmatic storyline will be Scott Glenn, Sarah Catherine Hook, Patrick Schwarzenegger and K-pop sensation Lalisa Manobal, also known as Lisa.

The brainchild of Mike White, the first two seasons received worldwide praise and multiple Emmy awards, including two accolades for Jennifer Coolidge's unforgettable portrayal of Tanya McQuoid.

The White Lotus is set to make a triumphant return, and fans are already buzzing with anticipation. One eager fan gushed under the trailer: "The initial two seasons were quite remarkable. It was just amazing acting. I'm hoping they can maintain the momentum!"
