Sonjay Dutt Is At Peace With The Notion That His In-Ring Career Is Over

Sonjay Dutt says that he’s okay with the idea that his in-ring career has come to an end. The AEW star ended his full-time in-ring career in 2017 due to injury and is an on-screen character as a manager for Jeff Jarrett, Satnam Singh, and Jay Lethal. He spoke with Mike Jones for a new interview and was asked if he had made peace with his in-ring career being at an end.

“I have totally made peace with that,” Dutt said (per Fightful). “I made peace with that towards the last couple of years of me being an in-ring competitor. Injuries catch up and life changes you. I have a wife and two kids. I tore my Achilles, and my shoulder was in bad shape.”

He continued, “It was just a whirlwind of everything that happened at the perfect time to where I transitioned and started learning more and more about the backstage production aspect and the office roles. Everything happens for a reason. No complaints.”
