BBC Strictly fans demand major change to show after controversial Chris McCausland move
Strictly Come Dancing fans are keen to know just how much of a "landslide" victory favourites Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell benefitted from in the Strictly final.
Echoing many other viewers, one fan took to X to call for the figures to be publicly released, as he predicted that the pair had won a mammoth 94 per cent share of the votes. "I know the BBC never release #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing voting percentages ( don't know why) but I'd have loved to have known how much of a landslide victory this was for Chris & Dianne," he wrote.
"I reckon they had at least 94% of the vote overall." However, others who'd been poring over the Strictly spoiler poll, which sees teaser figures released unofficially, argued that the actual total was less than 64 per cent.
"The poll was overwhelmingly Chris and Di, then JB then Sarah & Tasha last," one viewer wrote in reply. However, it is believed that the poll captures a relatively small sample of the total public vote, meaning it may not be representative.
"Every tweet I saw last night was overwhelmingly [for] Chris and Dianne so agree it was probably one of the most runaway votes in #Strictly history," another fan chimed in. "Personally I sent 4 votes their way and 2 to Sarah and Vito… I’d have been happy with either."

"I am pleased they won and they really deserved it but I knew they would get all the votes so I split mine between JB and Sarah," revealed a third.
A fourth declared: "Never has there been a more deserving winner - had all my votes."
Despite this, the call for Strictly - and in some people's eyes, "all shows" - to publish the percentages publicly has continued to win support.
Chris made history as the first blind man to participate in the BBC show before going on to win it, leaving few dry eyes among his emotional supporters.

His huge win follows on from the victory of deaf contestant Rose Ayling-Ellis, who clinched the Glitterball trophy with Giovanni Pernice back in 2021.
There was a BAFTA-winning moment when the music stopped so that the audience could experience dancing the way Rose does as a deaf woman, with the room going silent during their performance of Clean Bandit ft Zara Larsson's 'Symphony'.
It's unlikely to be the last fans see of Chris, as he recently wrote and starred in the Sky Christmas movie Bad Tidings, while the BBC is tipped to be keeping him on for further projects in the future too.
The overwhelmed star took to X this morning to share that he "hadn't quite recovered" from the "emotional" night of his win, which provided a light-hearted moment of warmth for the formerly scandal-hit show.
