Wolves' farcical season descended to new depths after a dramatic late defeat against Premier League relegation rivals Ipswich Town at Molineux on Saturday. Rayan Ait-Nouri was at the centre of unsavoury scenes moments after Jack Taylor's 94th-minute hammer blow in the Black Country.

The Wolves defender saw red at the final whistle, receiving his second yellow card for what looked like a heated argument with team-mate Matheus Cunha on the pitch.

Fellow defender Craig Dawson had to intervene, holding Ait-Nouri back and pushing him away from the squabble before having to carry him off the pitch.

Ait-Nouri appeared incensed, and his antics made Dawson just as unhappy as he shoved the Algeria international towards the Molineux tunnel.

Ipswich took the lead via a Matt Doherty own goal in the first half before Cunha fired the hosts level in the 72nd minute - offering hope of a crucial comeback.

However, the result went the other way at the end of stoppage time when Taylor's bullet header from Jack Clarke's last-ditch corner kick sent the long-stretching away end into raptures.
