Strictly's Dianne Buswell interrupts It Takes Two as she breaks down in tears

Strictly: Dianne cries as she reflects on series with Chris

Strictly Come Dancing favourite Dianne Buswell couldn't help but let the tears flow on It Takes Two as emotional scenes played out during the final episode of the series.

The popular spin-off, co-hosted by Fleur East and Janette Manrara, revisited the highs and lows of this year's show, bringing fans closer to the finalists as they recounted their journey ahead of the last dance. Dianne, who is partnered with comedian Chris McCausland, was visibly moved to tears during a trip down memory lane, highlighting their time on the show.

A touching moment saw presenter Janette Manrara pausing the interview to offer tissues to the emotional pair.

Overcome with emotion, Dianne opened up about her experience with Chris: "Chris has taught me so much, mostly about honesty. He's the most honest man I've ever met. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and he's taught me just to be myself."

She elaborated further on the life lessons gleaned during the competition: "I think you put a lot of pressure on yourself to be this perfect dancer or this perfect person. Chris has just brought out of me something that not many people can," reports the Mirror.

Continuing her heartfelt sentiment, Dianne touched on the essence of striving for authenticity over flawlessness: "Just giving it your best go and it doesn't matter if things are perfect, like I said before on here. Things can be beautiful without the perfectionism of things."

In solidarity, Janette offered comforting words, highlighting that "winning isn't everything," to which Dianne agreed.

Reflecting on his own Strictly journey, Chris shared his exceeding expectations: "It's just been way more than I thought it would be."

Chris has made history as the first-ever blind contestant to compete in Strictly Come Dancing and quickly became an audience favourite.

When Chris and his dance partner Dianne appeared on It Takes Two, one fan couldn't contain their excitement on social media, gushing: "The truly wonderful Chris and Dianne for the win....they will, 100%, be getting all my votes."

Another fan predicted confidently: "Chris and Dianne will win so the others might as well go home now. Either way I'll be happy for him as he's brilliant."

A third viewer shared their admiration online: "Chris did not have #Strictly on his radar, but now he is in the final. Dianne is now in her second final in a row. The waltz was emotional and Couple's Choice is showmanship and selling it more. The showdance is high energy but ballroom!"
