ITV Lorraine brought to abrupt halt as presenter forced to issue urgent apology
An episode of Lorraine was abruptly halted this morning as a presenter complained about not being able to hear. Ranvir Singh had stepped in to fill in the shoes of Scottish host Lorraine Kelly but as she welcomed another host to the show's sofa, chaos unfolded on set.
As the ITV show returned from a break, Andi Peters was gesturing wildly to someone off-screen. As his hands flew about, Ranvir appeared to be concerned about him as she asked: "Are you alright there Andi?"
The competition presenter ignored her as he turned behind him and yelled: "Still nothing! I've still got nothing." He then offered somewhat of an explanation as he added: "I can't hear."
His co-stars were in fits of laughter as he faked frustration joking: "Ranvir is trying to do a live show." Turning back to the stand in host, Andi apologised profusely, saying: "I'm so sorry Ranvir, so sorry."
Ranvir joked: "Oh he's a nightmare," as she quickly tried to move on with the show - ignoring her co-stars pleas for help.

Andi Peters ran into a problem on Lorraine (Image: ITV)Earlier in the week, on Wednesday, the ITV show was halted once more. Lorraine was at the helm of the show as she was forced to issue an apology.
The popular ITV host was deep in discussion with her entertainment correspondent Rishi Davda about the latest TV programmes, including Holly Willoughby's adventure show and its similarities to I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, when an unexpected chime was heard.
However, Rishi was cut off not once, but several times by the persistent ping of a text message notification.

Lorraine eventually owned up to the distracting sounds coming from her mobile phone.
Red-faced, she admitted to viewers at home: "Sorry my phone's pinging and it's me." She quipped with a laugh: "Oh look it's George Clooney again, I've told him 'George, don't bother me when I'm at work'."
The playful banter continued with Rishi asking: "Is he running late again for today's episode?" as Lorraine cheekily retorted, "He says I watch it on catch up," before offering a sincere: "Sorry about that," to the audience.
