Cathay to bring in more flights and routes in 2025

Cathay Group announced on Thursday that additional flights and destinations will be introduced in the upcoming year, as part of its two-year rebuilding plan. In a statement, the group said Cathay Pacific and its sister airline, HK Express, will return to 100 percent pre-pandemic capacity by January. It added that the two airlines will expand their passenger services to 100 global destinations by the end of next year. The group said it has recruited and trained thousands of new employees to facilitate its rebuilding process and meet its operational needs. “With the commissioning of the Three-Runway System last month, Hong Kong has entered into an exciting new era,” it wrote. “As the city’s home airline, we look forward to doing our part to elevate Hong Kong’s status as a world-leading international aviation hub, connecting Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and the world.”
