Missing You release date

There isn't too much longer to wait as Netflix will release all five episodes of Missing You on Wednesday, January 1.

This limited series arrives on the streaming platform exactly one year after the debut of Coben's other successful show, Fool Me Once, featuring actress Michelle Keegan.

Leading the cast of Missing You is Rosalind Eleazar, playing DI Kat Donovan who wiewers may recognise her from her role as Louise Guy in the Apple TV+ drama Slow Horses.

Joining her is Richard Armitage as DCI Ellis Stagger, a familiar face in Coben's series having appeared in The Stranger, Stay Close and Fool Me Once. He also starred as Thorin in The Hobbit film series.

The series boasts a star-studded ensemble including Steve Pemberton of Benidorm, TV icon Lenny Henry, Bloodlands' James Nesbitt, EastEnders' Jessica Plummer, and Top Boy's Ashley Walters.

Here's a sneak peek of what to anticipate from Missing You, set to premiere in the New Year: "Detective Kat Donovan's life is turned upside down when her fiance Josh, who vanished eleven years ago, suddenly reappears under mysterious circumstances.

“While Kat investigates the case of a missing person, Josh’s reappearance forces her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.”

Missing You trailer

The official trailer for the Netflix drama was unveiled at November's end, initially portraying the blissful engagement of detective Kat and Josh before his abrupt disappearance.

The preview then leaps forward to the present day, 11 years post-Josh's disappearance.

Kat finds herself unravelling the truth behind his vanishing act as he resurfaces amidst another missing person investigation but what is the link between them?
