The news of the 2025 tour comes as the band shared a new single with Beck, titled âIâm With The Bandâ, last month.
The collaboration came as they recently teamed up for the aforementioned âOhio Playersâ lead single âBeautiful People (Stay High)â, as well as âPaper Crownâ.
As well as Beck featuring on the LP, the single âStay In Your Graveâ â which featured in the expanded âTrophy Editionâ â also saw the duo team up with rock veteran Alice Cooper, and âMi Tormentaâ featured DannyLux.
In a three-star review of âOhio Playersâ, NME nodded to its litany of guest stars, including Beck, Noel Gallagher and Juicy J, and wrote: âPlaying music with your pals isnât a radical act â itâs what most musicians do and the bedrock of any scene in any city the world over â so given the fanfare the listener might reasonably expect âOhio Playersâ to hum along on the star-wattage of its guest list.
âInstead, this is a pretty good Black Keys record that chiefly serves to underline how wedded they are to the fundamentals of their own process.â
Patrick Carney, one half of the duo, spoke to NME last year and recalled their time working with the âincredibleâ Noel Gallagher in the studio. âHeâs hilarious and super talented,â he said. âWe were referring to him as âThe Chord Lordâ because heâs just a perfectionist with it.â
Before then, The Black Keys announced earlier this year that they had signed up for new management following a public split from their former team.
In June, the band took to social media to claim they were âfuckedâ after their North American tour was cancelled and they split from their management on June 7. They were due to play their âInternational Players Tourâ in the US and Canada from September to November this year, but it was reported late last month that the entire run of gigs had been abruptly scrapped, with no explanation provided.
Amidst speculation the cancellation was due to low ticket sales, the band opened up about the tour, saying it was axed and re-planned in favour of smaller theatre venues as featured on their recent European dates.
