BBC The One Show's Alex Jones told 'how dare you' after probing question
During Thursday night's episode of The One Show, presenter Alex Jones got a light-hearted scolding after asking comedian Sara Pascoe a very personal question.
Alex and her co-host Roman Kemp welcomed stars Sara Pascoe, Anne-Marie Duff, and Mark Bonnar to the iconic green sofa. The programme also spotlighted heartfelt salutes to unsung British heroes contributing to charity and supporting youngsters in the UK.
However, Alex's probing about Sara's new comedy tour and her experiences as a new mother seemed to surprise the stand-up artist, leading to Sara's playful retort.
In response to Alex musing, "Now, is this tour just to avoid bedtime?" Sara humorously fired back, "How dare you? How dare you?".
"It's about my passion for stand-up comedy! That's just the sort of side benefit," she quipped, reports Wales Online.

Yet Alex's query had more truth to it than perhaps expected, since Sara herself confessed previously that the thrill of her evening performances indeed offered a respite from her little ones' challenging bedtimes.
Earlier this month revealing her tour plans, she quipped: "I have grown to depend on touring, not only because of my deep love of performing stand-up but also to avoid the difficult bedtimes of my unruly children."

Reflecting on the transformation motherhood has brought into her life, Sara shared: "I think I am. I think partly because I became so vulnerable, in terms of you don't sleep, you've made these people, you're in charge of everything, it really did make me much more genuine on stage."

She continued to express how parenthood has infused authenticity into her performances, telling Alex and Roman: "I think I'm much more myself and also, I think it makes you work harder. When you have to leave your house, leave your kids, you want to be good at it and it's going to be worth it."
"I think I've lost a lot of confidence, I eat off the floor a lot more now," she added, before admitting that embodying the "rock star" persona is challenging now that she is a mother to two children.
