The one-day event is due to take place at Brockwell Park near Brixton in South London on Friday May 23. Tickets are on general sale now, and you can buy yours here.

Earlier this month, festival organisers announced that Kneecap would be headlining next year, off the back of the Irish rap trio’s acclaimed debut album, ‘Fine Art’ (2024).

Other acts confirmed previously include CMAT, English Teacher (this year’s Mercury Prize-winners), Daniel Avery, Mannequin Pussy, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Puzzle (making their UK festival debut) and Sprints.

Further down the bill are Erol Alkan BTB Optimo (Espacio), Frankie & The Witch Fingers, Gaye Su Akyol, Getdown Services, Hello Mary, HiTech, Jasmine.4.t, Martin Rev, Mermaid Chunky, Patriarchy, Ugly, W.I.T.C.H and Wine Lips.

Now, Wide Awake has unveiled even more artists for 2025, including Marie Davidson, Nadine Shah and Warmduscher.

Elsewhere, recent NME Cover stars Fcukers are set to perform, as well as COBRAH, Chanel Beads and Gurriers.

The 2025 instalment promises seven live music stages, more than 70 performing artists, an exclusive VIP area, the best London street food, a craft beer fair, workshops, talks and more still to be announced.

It follows the festival recently announcing a date change for 2025 following the news that Field Day would be returning to Brockwell Park next May, after a stint at Victoria Park in east London.

The 2024 edition of Wide Awake was headlined by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and also featured performances from the likes of Slowdive, Young Fathers, Alice Glass, Dry Cleaning, Squid, Fat Dog and Lynks.

Reviewing Wide Awake 2023, NME said the festival “succeeds in pulling together a completely unique bill that stands out in a very crowded field”.

Fcukers, who released their debut EP ‘Baggy$$’ in September, spoke to NME about their live shows earlier this year. Detailing their experience playing SXSW, they told us: “I’ve played to one person there before, but this last one… I felt like I was in Blur.”

They also shared their stories playing the Pickle Factory in London, adding: “Everybody arrived soaking wet, and then the room got hot, so people were literally steaming. It was gross but fun.”

Elsewhere, Shah released her fifth album ‘Filthy Underneath’ in February. In a four-star review, NME wrote: “Shah is writing about the darkest places a person can reach in a devastatingly human manner that demonstrates a rare level of repose and reflection.”
