After 16 days, golf sensation Bryson DeChambeau saw his bold challenge come to a triumphant close on Wednesday. LIV Golf star DeChambeau had been trying to sink a hole-in-one over his luxury mansion in Texas for over two weeks.

The two-time US Open winner captured the entire endeavour on social media, increasing his attempts daily to clear the house's double-story section, complete with intimidating full-length windows, and find success on the green beyond.

World No.10 DeChambeau experienced a series of close calls from day one of the quest, where he impressively landed the ball within a foot of the hole. Subsequent tries rolled tantalisingly past the hole or bounced off the flagstick.

However, fortune favoured him on Wednesday with his 134th attempt - the 14th of the day - as DeChambeau delivered a perfectly struck wedge shot that arced gracefully over his home, dropping just shy of the hole before hopping in with a spin.

"It's in!" exclaimed a cameraman perched on the roof, setting off ecstatic celebrations from DeChambeau.

The joy was palpable. Despite having bagged some of golf's most lucrative accolades, this personal victory sent him into a frenzy of elation. He leapt high, flailed his arms, then dashed around his residence towards the green, exclaiming in disbelief: "Are you kidding me? Let's go baby! I can't believe I finally made that. Are you kidding me?"

His tenacious spirit and dedication had finally paid off in spectacular style.

DeChambeau has skilfully balanced a stellar year in his golfing career with a rise to fame as a YouTube sensation. The 31-year-old, who placed sixth and second at The Masters and PGA Championship respectively, before clinching his second US Open title, has also seen his YouTube channel skyrocket to 1.6 million subscribers.

His channel's popularity soared further thanks to viral videos featuring President-elect Donald Trump and golf legend Phil Mickelson. The video with Trump alone raked in over 13 million views, contributing to DeChambeau's surge in popularity.

Once perceived as the sport's bad boy, he has remarkably transformed into a crowd-pleaser in 2024.

Ahead of The Open Championship in July, DeChambeau reflected on how YouTube and social media have reshaped his public image. He remarked: "I think I've always been who I've been. I've definitely matured a lot. It's been a growing process for me over the course of time."

He added, "YouTube has massively helped, I can tell you that, being able to just release the emotions in the way that I know I can. When I was a kid, I was super emotional obviously, but I got frustrated on the golf course, I got really excited on the golf course."

"Just really defining that and refining that to a place where I am today has been a lot of work in progress. It's just taken time for me to have a better, bigger perspective on life and also having a platform where I can showcase that and refine it to a really cool, cool level and give people some great entertainment."
