Kai Cenat launched a month-long “subathon” at the start of November to break the record for the most paid subscribers.

While following streamers on Twitch is free, subscribing gives fans an ad-free viewing experience as well as a range of exclusive emojis and a special badge. Kai Cenat is charging fans £4.99 to sub to his channel, with 20 per cent of the revenue raised funding a school in Nigeria.

The Mafiathon 2 event has seen him broadcasting constantly for the past four weeks, with guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Glorilla and Lil Uzi Vert. He broke the record for subscriptions in under two weeks (326,252) and currently has over 560,000 with just a few days of the subathon to go.

To celebrate breaking 560,000 subs, Kai Cenat was joined by Travis Barker, who delivered a pulverising 16-minute drumming masterclass that included Blink-182 classics ‘All The Small Things’ and ‘Dammit’ and overwhelmed Cenat’s mic set-up. Check it out below.

The Mafiathon 2 event was teased by Barker’s sister-in-law Kim Kardashian, who starred in a tongue-in-cheek cinematic ad as Cenat’s therapist. “I stream for 30 days straight, 24-hours every single day. They watch me eat, sleep, shower on camera,” said Cenat with Kardashian replying “that doesn’t sound healthy’.

Barker and the rest of Blink-182 recently wrapped up their massive ‘One More Time’ world tour in celebration of their new album of the same name. As it stands, the band currently have nothing in the books until a headline slot at When We Were Young festival next October, where they’ll perform alongside a reunited Panic! At The Disco.

Meanwhile Kai Cenat’s mammoth Twitch stream is due to end December 1 with stars like Kevin Hart and Druski already confirmed to be making guest appearances in the coming days.

In other news, iconic electronic artist Deadmau5 has collaborated with mobile game World Of Tanks Blitz to unveil his new song ‘Familiars’.
