Kiko Kostadinov Opens First US Flagship in Los Angeles

After opening up his first permanent store in Tokyo earlier this year, London-based, Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov is officially setting up shop in America, with a new flagship in Los Angeles, California.

Situated in the City of Angels' Melrose Hill gallery district, the storefront is an evolution of the same conceptual design language that artist Ryan Trecartin developed for Kostadinov's Tokyo outpost, which is currently evolving through a two-part visual narrative. In Southern California, the designer's shopping locale will similarly reshape over time.

At opening, the space will enter phase one — Draft Settings — or a "production proxy," in which "used" scaffolding, material placeholders, photorealistic rendering plans and more stripped-back construction components will give the impression that the store is "in production." Meanwhile, Trecartin will enlist several LA-based artisans to create the shop's (currently untitled) permanent installation, revealing itself as it develops through Spring 2025.

Notably, Kostadinov's latest outpost will carry his full product slate, including clothing, handbags, accessories, footwear and special projects across menswear and womenswear.

Kiko Kostadinov's Los Angeles store is now open at the below address. Take a first look at the shop above.
