'I was a Strictly pro and the wrong person was in dance-off - Pete is the worst dancer'

Strictly Come Dancing: Eighth celebrity is voted off

It looks as though one former Strictly Come Dancing star was less than impressed with the results of the latest dance–off - and now they have shared their thoughts in a new interview. On Sunday night, BBC fans saw Gladiator star Montell Douglas and Radio star Wynne Evans land in the dreaded dance-off.

After both re-performing their routines, it was time for the four judges to make their decision on who they believed should stay in the competition. In the end, it was a unanimous vote as they all opted to save Montell.

However, former Strictly star Ola Jordan doesn’t believe Montell should’ve been in the dance-off in the first place. Teaming up with Mecca Bingo, she shared her thoughts on the outcome and who she thinks is the worst in the competition.

When asked if Wynne and Montell deserved to be at the bottom, she replied: “No, because Pete is the worst dancer, but at the same time, people vote for who they vote for, and I think as long as the leaderboard is right then people can vote for whoever they want.

“I can't say that Pete doesn't deserve to be in the competition because if people vote for Pete, it's fair enough. For the bottom two, yes, Wynne was worse than Montell, and Wynne should have gone home. Montell was definitely better overall, so it was the right decision, that's for sure.”

During the show, which took place at Blackpool Tower Ballroom, Pete found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 27.

When his name was announced as being saved for another week, his shock was visible as his professional partner Jowita Przystał put her hand on her mouth in disbelief.

Although he confessed later on he expected to be in the dance-off as Jowita revealed they had a speech ready if they left.

Speaking to Claudia Winkleman, he confessed: “I cannot believe that we’re still here! I cannot believe it. I can’t thank everyone enough for supporting us, I honestly don’t know what to say.”

However, Ola believes the TOWIE star could be in trouble this weekend.

She added: "I think people are realising that he was really bad this week, so it will get to the point where people are going to get bored of all this gyrating of his hips, and it will get to the point.

"I don't know if it's next week, depending on what he's doing, if he does a really good lovely number, I feel he's going to go because people will think he doesn't need the votes anymore, so maybe that's what's going to happen.

"I think it's his time to be in the bottom two. If he finds himself in the bottom two, he's going to go because he is definitely the weakest dancer compared to everyone else."

Will Pete find himself in the dance-off this week as the competition nears the final?

When leaving the show on Sunday night, Wynne had nothing but praise as he commented: "It's been wonderful, I’ve got to say. I feel like it's what Strictly is all about. If I can come and do Strictly and last until week nine, then anybody can get out there and dance and have a brilliant time.

"Strictly is such a brilliant family, such a precious family, that I want everybody here in this room and at home to look after it for the generations to come because it is a wonderful, wonderful thing."

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One from 7:05pm
