I'm A Celeb: GK Barry and Dean get zero stars in trial

Two stars in the I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! jungle have "targets on their backs", according to fans. Dean McCullough and GK Barry, real name Grace, were taunted for failing miserably at Wednesday evening's trial.

The pair were voted by the public to take on the latest Bushtucker Trial - ‘Drown in the Dumps’. Geordie presenting duo Ant and Dec were on hand to offer support and explain what the camp mates had to do to win the much-needed stars to be fed good grub.

The hosts pointed towards two tanks placed on top of one another. They revealed that one of the contestants would be positioned in the top, whilst the other would go in the bottom.

Dean opted for the top section, where he had to feel in the hell holes to find keys, with gold tags attached. They then had to be dropped in the pipe down to GK, who was battling the bottom section.

She then had to use the keys to unlock the 10 available stars for camp. There were also silver keys available, which didn't unlock anything.

While the task sounded fairly straight forward, the camp mates soon realised that water would slowly fill up the sections and they would be joined by creatures and critters. GK admitted: "I have no words" as the trial began.

The pair were unable to work together well, with screams and cries echoing throughout the challenge. Eventually, Grace screamed: “I’m done, I’m done," before they ran out of time.

Dean and GK didn't manage to secure any stars, and were left to deliver the bad news to the other celebs. As they walked back to camp, soggy and sad with towels wrapped around them, GK admitted: "This is the worst walk of shame I've ever done."

While some fans online loved watching them scream and squirm, others hoped that them competing in trials wouldn't be a common occurrence. Posting to X/Twitter, one wrote: "Grace and Dean are just making themselves targets for every trial. #imaceleb." Another agreed, writing: "I mean.....they have now unofficially signed themselves up for every bushtucker trial now lol #ImACeleb."

While a third echoed their thoughts, writing: "These two are gonna be the publics target every night cause how bad they are doing!! Absolutely useless #imaceleb."

Someone else threatened to boycott the ITV show if Grace and Dean keep getting voted to do the trials, saying: "These two are lame, not fun to watch. If every trial is going to be these two, im going to give up on this series #ImACeleb."

While another said: "This is rather tedious now…both Dean and GK really are proving themselves useless here… #ImACeleb."
