Outlander's Sophie Skelton issues chilling warning to co-star as she teases season 7 twist

Outlander fans in stitches as Caitriona Balfe details on-set prank

Sophie Skelton, star of Outlander, has issued a chilling warning to Rob Cameron (played by Chris Fulton) on behalf of her character Brianna.

The last time viewers saw Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser's (Sam Heughan) daughter, she was consumed by sorrow in the 1980s after Rob abducted her son Jemmy (Blake Johnston Miller) in search of the fabled Spaniard's gold.

With no other choice, her husband Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin) is compelled to travel back in time once more, accompanied by his time-travelling ancestor William 'Buck' MacKenzie (Diarmaid Murtagh).

Thousands of fans are anxiously awaiting to discover if their mission is successful and Brianna and Jemmy are finally reunited.

At the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Outlander at PaleyFest 2024, Skelton hinted that Brianna might even get the opportunity to confront her son's kidnapper directly.

"[Season] seven's very difficult," she tantalised viewers. "I think this is the first time we see Brianna go into proper Mama Bear mode.

"She's been very good at defending herself, and now she's defending her kids. You really start to see what lengths she'll go to do that."

Skelton then jested: "So, watch out Rob Cameron!"

During another panel at New York Comic Con, the cast were asked which Taylor Swift song would best represent their character in the upcoming instalment.

The star of Brianna cheekily hinted: "In season seven, part two, I feel like it would be Look What You Made Me Do", which elicited an intrigued "Oooh" from the audience.

Will Rob Cameron face Brianna's fury by the end of season seven?

The initial episodes of the season saw Rob ingratiating himself with the MacKenzies in the 1980s after Brianna lands a role as a health and safety inspector at the local dam.

Upon discovering the myth of the gold hidden within the Spaniard's Cave that Jemmy and Jamie found in the 18th Century, Jemmy disappears, leading Roger to suspect that Rob has learnt about the treasure.

To add to the drama, his ancestor Buck arrives through the stones at Craigh Na Dun, aware that his fate is sealed shortly after his time-travelling journey.

Roger is determined to save their son, but sneak peeks showing the return of Geillis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek) and Dougal MacKenzie (Graham McTavish) hint that the time travellers are set for some unforeseen twists.

Outlander season seven part two premieres on Friday, November 22, on MGM+ via Prime Video in the UK and on Starz in the US.
