Strictly's Brendan Cole makes 'worrying' observation about Pete Wicks
The glitz and glamour of Strictly Come Dancing reached new heights on Saturday as the competition returned to the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
While viewers were dazzled by many of the extravagant routines on display, former Strictly professional Brendan Cole did not have a glowing review for current contestant Pete Wicks.
The former TOWIE star performed a Cha-cha-cha with his dance partner Jowita Przystal, and earned 27 points from the judges.
Despite their effort, Brendan described it as Pete’s “worst” performance so far in the competition.
In an interview with Sky Vegas, Brendan said: “I didn't love his [Pete Wicks’] number on the weekend, but it wasn't bad enough [to be voted out].

“Saturday night was probably one of his worst dances – if he was going to go, last night would have been the night for it to happen.”
Pete himself seemed to acknowledge that it wasn’t his best performance, telling followers on Instagram that he knows he’s “not a good dancer”, but he’s trying his best.
While Pete’s routine drew mixed reviews, the night saw Miranda star Sarah Hadland and Love Island alum Tasha Ghouri soared to the top of the leaderboard with an impressive 39 points each.

However, for opera singer Wynne Evans and his partner Katya Jones, the evening marked the end of their Strictly journey.
After landing in the dance-off against Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe, Wynne was eliminated.
During his appearance on It Takes Two on Monday, Wynne reflected on his time in the competition, saying: “It's been wonderful, I’ve got to say. I feel like it's what Strictly is all about.

“Strictly is such a brilliant family, such a precious family, that I want everybody here in this room and at home to look after it for the generations to come because it is a wonderful, wonderful thing.”
Wynne’s heartfelt farewell left viewers emotional, especially when he unexpectedly broke into tears during the interview, prompting host Fleur East to scramble for tissues.
