Line of Duty comeback teased as Adrian Dunbar shares eight-word response
Line of Duty star Adrian Dunbar has hinted at the much-anticipated return of the BBC's acclaimed series, three years after its nail-biting finale left fans wanting more.
Whispers of a revival have been circulating as Adrian and fellow cast members Martin Compston and Vicky McClure were seen in talks with series creator Jed Mercurio about bringing back the hit show.
During his chat on Wednesday's episode of Lorraine, Adrian gave fans a glimmer of hope with his eight-word tease "there's more than a little bit of hope" for another season of the gripping drama.
He elaborated: "It's just when the grown ups decide to make an announcement about it. We don't want to tease the British public forever about it. We want it to happen, everyone wants it to happen so let's make it happen."
The actor further commented: "It just depends on when all the stars align and of course Jed has to write it."

Conversation then shifted to the upcoming series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, as Adrian mentioned his good friend Barry McGuigan is set to brave the famous jungle, reports the Mirror.
Adrian disclosed: "Barry is in there. I'll tell you one thing about Barry McGuigan, he will be there to take over, he won't be there to take part because he is competitive. I'm putting my money on Barry definitely because he will be good."

He continued: "As he said himself it's the mental end not the physical thing for him because he has always been unbelievably fit so it'll be the mental thing for Barry but we'll see how it goes. It'll be interesting."
Barry, who arrived in Australia on Monday, revealed ahead of the show that he is now ready to take on the physical and mental challenges of the jungle. He told ITV: "It can be physically arduous, but it's the psychological part of it that I want to conquer before I get too old," he said.
"I'm 63 now. I'd like to think I'm a young 63, but that doesn't mean it'll make any of these Challenges easy. I'd rather do it when I'm 63, than 73, put it that way!"
