A GOLF star walked off mid-round at The Open after fluffing a shot on the eighth hole.
Romain Langasque decided to call it quits and later revealed the real reason behind his early exit.

But that is better than Langasque managed as he completed just seven holes in his opening round on Thursday.
He got off to a fairly good start as he shot a birdie on the second to recover his bogey on the opening hole.
But everything changed on the fourth, where Langasque later revealed he suffered an injury.

His disastrous tee shot ended up in the rough after travelling just 51 metres and he followed that up by chipping the ball into an even worse position.
Langasque initially went to take his next shot before backtracking, taking off his cap and shaking his head, visibly fed up with his afternoon's play.
He later took to social media to reveal the reason behind his early withdrawal.

The 29-year-old wrote: "Hurt my back on hole 4 and it became worth and worth after it … see you next year @TheOpen."
McIlroy also suffered a nightmare opening round as one of his shots flew over the railway line, resulting in a first-round score of 78 — finishing a whopping seven over par.
Englishman Daniel Brown hit 65 to take the lead ahead of Shane Lowry into the second round, with just one shot separating the pair.
