Today's the day. A new dawn at Manchester United rises. Ruben Amorim is expected to land in England to start his journey as the club's new head coach. On the back of his thrilling final match as Sporting boss on Sunday, Amorim is set to get to work as Erik ten Hag's permanent successor, taking the reins from interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The 39-year-old's Sporting side fought back from a 2-0 deficit at half-time to win 4-2 at Braga in his farewell outing.
It extended the Portuguese champions' perfect start to the season to 11 wins in 11 league games, while they also sit second in the Champions League after Tuesday's 4-1 mauling of Manchester City.

Amorim has publicly admitted that he is inheriting a United team suffering at a "lower" point, but he will be salivating at the challenge of transforming another club's fortunes.
