Ruud van Nistelrooy puts Man Utd stars on notice with seven powerful demands
Manchester United interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has sent a powerful message to inspire his players ahead of his final game in charge against Leicester City.
The Dutchman heads into his fourth and final match as caretaker boss unbeaten after overseeing two victories against the Foxes and PAOK, as well as a 1-1 draw against Chelsea last time out in the Premier League.
But the 48-year-old will step aside for Ruben Amorim from Monday when the Portuguese tactician officially takes over as their new head coach.

"Of course, it starts with players taking responsibility for themselves and others, because playing for Manchester United requires strong character, hard work and constant dedication.

Ruud van Nistelrooy gave some advice to his Man Utd players (Image: Getty)It is not yet known if he will be retained as part of Amorim's backroom team as the pair are reportedly set to hold talks to discuss his future when he hands over to his 39-year-old replacement on Monday.
Van Nistelrooy is a respected figure amongst the players and it was noticeable that his rapport with them appeared to be more positive than their relationship with Erik ten Hag at times.
Not many players can say they know the club better than Van Nistelrooy, after scoring 150 goals in 219 appearances as a player during his five-year spell in Manchester.
And given Amorim's absence of Premier League experience and relative youth in management terms, it may be wise to keep a United icon in his team to ensure his players understand what it means to play for the club.
