Golf Channel and the LPGA are teeing up an entertaining broadcast for the upcoming Annika Driven By Gainbridge event, with WNBA sensation Caitlin Clark swinging into action for the Pro-Am.

The 'Golf Today' show is set to start 90 minutes early on the Wednesday to bring viewers live action from the Pro-Am event, where Clark's involvement is already gaining plenty of interest.

Indiana Fever's star player will not only grace the greens but will do so alongside none other than top-ranked female golfer, Nelly Korda. The duo will draw plenty of eyes, with the coverage including a close look at Clark's pre-tournament warm-up and a mid-round chat.

There were originally no plans to broadcast Clark's Pro-Am round online or TV but that has changed with so much interest surrounding the WNBA superstar's involvement.

Clark hasn't been shy about her love for golf, even teasing the possibility of turning pro during the WNBA's off-season. "I'm going to play some golf, that is what I am going to do until it gets cold," she shared with reporters back in September.

"So that could help me become a professional golfer," she added, grinning. With next week's Pro-Am, Clark gets her chance to showcase her ability on the course and she's thrilled about getting the chance to play in the event named after golf icon Annika Sorenstam.

"I love golf so the opportunity to play in the Pro-Am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam's name on it is so exciting," she enthused.

This isn't Clark's first time in the company of some of golf's top stars, as she previously participated in the John Deere Classic Pro-Am on the PGA Tour in 2023.

There, the WNBA Rookie of The Year hit the course with former US Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson and the world's No. 4 Ludvig Aberg.

Aberg, who played with Clark for the front nine, was full of compliments: "She's a rock star," he admitted, before adding" "I was just a passenger today. It was really cool."

Reiterating her love for the sport, Clark said: "Not many people have this opportunity, and to do it essentially 45 minutes from where I play basketball is pretty cool," She continue', "I'm a big fan of golf. I love to play it and be around it. I think it's just really fun. Every Sunday, I usually have the TV on and I am watching [the PGA Tour].

"More than anything else, this was about enjoying the experience. It's just cool getting to interact with the young kids who were here today. I was trying to make as much time as I could to sign an autograph, or give them a ball or a high five because that goes a long way."
