Jose Mourinho learns punishment after astonishing rant about Turkish referees
Jose Mourinho has been slapped with a one-match suspension and fined nearly £15,000 following his response after Fenerbahce's thrilling 3-2 Super Lig win at Trabzonspor.
The Portuguese manager, who fell as he attempted a celebratory knee slide at the final whistle last Sunday, had been charged with "unsportsmanlike behaviour towards opposing team fans" and for "diminishing the value of Turkish football and ... discrediting the impartiality of the referees and other match officials" in a fiery post-match interview.
The Turkish Football Federation announced that Mourinho had been punished with "prohibition of access to the dressing room and bench" for one official game.

He has also been given a fine of 58,500 Turkish lira - approximately £1,300 - and an additional 600,000 Turkish Lira - about £13,500 - for his "hurtful" remarks, which was a reduction from the initial 900,000 Turkish lira penalty.

I didn't believe. It is even worse than I was told.
"It's more difficult because we play against our opponents, good opponents like Trabzonspor are, but we play against the system, and to play against the system is the most difficult thing."
As well as the sanctions levied on Mourinho, a fine of 400,000 Turkish Lira, approximately £9,000, was imposed on Fenerbahce vice-president Acun Ilicali, who also owns Hull in the Sky Bet Championship, for making "unsportsmanlike remarks".
In a lengthy statement on Fenerbahce's website, Ilicali branded the officiating as "a complete scandal" and stated that the VAR had "massacred" the match.
