Amad makes statement on his Man Utd future after sending message to Ruben Amorim

Manchester United winger Amad has expressed his desire to commit his future to the club and make history, following a remarkable brace against PAOK in the Europa League. The 22-year-old winger, who hadn't started a game since October 3, showcased his ability against the Greek giants, proving to be the match-winner for United.

His performance comes at an opportune time as Ruben Amorim is set to take over as head coach on Monday. However, his future lies in the hands of Old Trafford's new football structure, with sporting director Dan Ashworth and technical director Jason Wilcox leading contract decisions.

Despite his current deal ending next summer, talks are underway for a longer-term extension, something Amad is eager to secure. "I'm happy to be here. I'm happy to play for this club, and yeah, I want to stay here for a long, long, long time to make history with this club," he stated.

Amad had been left out of seven consecutive games since starting against Porto and appeared visibly frustrated when Antony was chosen ahead of him in the Europa League draw at Fenerbahce.

He channelled his frustration into a dynamic display against PAOK, impressing with a clever header and stripping Baba Rahman of possession to fire in a fierce left-footed strike from the box's edge.

Downplaying his dissatisfaction about reduced playtime, Amad, who was earlier named player of the month this season, is single-minded in his contributions whenever he gets on the pitch. "I always try to do my best, even when I am not starting," he declared.

"I'm every time focused, and everyone wants to play."

The young star underscored the importance of seizing every opportunity: "We are here to play. And when you don't play, you have to give your best. Today, I try to give my best. And the most important thing was to win because it's been a long time, we didn't win in Europe so it was nice to win today."

Despite previous recognitions, Amad remains future-oriented, and committed to excellence for the club: "I know I was player of the month in August, but I have moved on. I am focused for now, for the future and give my best for the shirt and get this team back on top again."
