GB News' Eamonn Holmes rages at 'ungracious' Kamala Harris in scathing Trump rant

Eamonn Holmes repeatedly called for Kamala Harris to concede in the wake of Donald Trump's victory speech, quizzing: "Why hasn't she said anything?"

Moments later, the GB News host, who presented this morning with co-star Isabel Webster, added: "Why would she not do the gracious thing and say a few words?" At the time of his words, Trump appeared to have achieved a triumphant victory to become the USA's 47th President - but some votes still needed to be counted.

There was talk of Kamala making a last-minute climb to defeat Trump, which some suggested was the reason for her silence. However, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, Labour leader Keir Starmer and Foreign Secretary David Lammy have already issued words of congratulations for Trump, as his victory looked all but certain.

Farage - a close personal friend of Trump - said he was "ecstatic", declaring in no uncertain terms: "This is the victory party. It holds massive opportunities if we chose to seize them."

He added: "I've been loyal to this guy through thick and thin [and] over the course of nine years, I am very pleased that I have. Our Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, needs to roll up the red carpet to do so very quickly."

The race between Trump and Harris had looked very close, but Trump's likelihood of victory emerged very quickly, dashing the hopes of the Democratic leader.

Trump had needed to secure a minimum of 270 electoral votes to win, and currently stands at 277 to Kamala's 224.

Had she secured a victory, she would have made history as the first female, the first black female and the first South Asian-American to win the presidency, due to her mixed heritage.

However, she underperformed with women at the polls, with numbers reportedly indicating that just 54 percent of US females cast their votes for her.

Trump opted not to mention Harris in his victory speech, instead giving thanks to JD Vance, Elon Musk and many others - as well as the nation that gave him a second chance at presidential victory.

He stated: "I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honour of being elected your 47th president and your 45th president."

He hailed the win as a "magnificent victory" which would make in roads towards "healing" the country.

Trump has been popular for his stance on getting tough on illegal immigration, whereas Harris' past record had suggested to some voters that she would be more lenient.

Yesterday, Piers Morgan published a YouTube debate blasting comparisons between Trump and Nazi leader Hitler, whereas David Lammy had previously branded Trump a "neo-Nazi psychopath", but has since congratulated him on his win.
