Actor Rob Schneider slammed Susana Reid and Ed Balls in a fierce attack ahead of Donald Trump's US victory.

During Wednesday's visit (November 6) to the ITV studios, the dynamic duo and woke up the nation live in Washington DC with some of the day's most pressing stories.

This included the news of Queen Camilla's sudden illness and the surprising changes to Glastonbury Festival's ticket sales. But arguably the news on everyone's lips was the result of the 2024 US election.

At the time of writing this article, Donald Trump is close to winning his second term in office with an impressive 266 votes to Kamala Harris' 188.

The morning show pulled out the big guns to mark the occasion and dedicated 80 per cent of the show to covering the results the second instalment of the week.

Ahead of Trump's victory speech, the pair welcomed American actor Rob Schneider - who shared the screen with the President in Home Alone 2 back in 1992 - to share his thoughts on the election.

But things took an unexpected turn when the Hollywood star launched into an unprompted attack on the hosts as he fiercely slammed the hosts on air.

The actor began the discussion by accusing the pair of "racism and misogyny", which Ed Balls immediately shut down. The former MP explained: " No, no. I said black and Hispanic voters have moved to Trump from Biden/ Harris and that is why he is winning.

"He is winning the popular vote, the economy has turned for him." But the comic wasn't willing to back down. He fumed: " You were also throwing out that it’s racist misogyny, you were saying that he was also using racism and misogyny, I also heard that. I heard you say that, I did hear you say that."

Susanna Reid argued: "Sorry, neither of us have uttered those words" as Rob became noticeably annoyed, fuming: "Can I speak something?"

Ed chuckled: "We'd love for you to speak about something surrounding the President of the United States" before the actor insisted: " But you also used the word misogyny, it’s not that. American’s have no problem voting for a woman."

The former politician then turned to his co-host and asked: " I didn’t say that, did you say that? Actually Rob, are you sure you were watching out programme?" To which Rob replied: "Yes, you did, I heard it. I heard it. I heard you and you mentioned misogyny."

He went on: "I did not. Did those words pass your lips? They didn't pass my lips" as the actor decided to put his money where his mouth is. Rob fumed: "I'll bet you £10,000 right now. £10,000 that you did [say that]" as Ed burst into laughter and asked: "I'm sorry Rob, but are we in Home Alone 4?"
