Prince William Wears 'Papa' Friendship Bracelet While Discussing His 3 Kids

was spotted wearing a –themed friendship bracelet months after attending the Eras Tour in London.

The Prince of Wales is currently in South Africa for a series of outings in Cape Town. On Monday, November 4, eagle-eyed fans noticed that William, 42, donned a blue bracelet reading “papa” on his right wrist while attending the Earthshot Prize Climate Leaders Youth Program.

The following day, William was still wearing the accessory when he met up with ’s son, , at South Africa’s Table Mountain. (Robert, 20, is a global ambassador for the Earthshot Prize.)

While out for their nature walk on Signal Hill, which took place on Tuesday, November 5, William spoke briefly with Robert about his kids. (William shares Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, with wife .)

“I have to ask — we’re in South Africa, one of the most amazing countries and continents for wildlife — do you have a favorite African animal?” Robert asked at one point during their outing.

William was honest with his response that this was “a really tough question” he gets asked often.

“My children ask me this regularly,” the Prince of Wales continued. “I think I’m going to have to say the cheetah.”

Robert thought it was a “very cool” answer. “It’s chameleons for me. The unsung hero. I love ’em,” he added. The duo also spoke about William’s trip to South Africa.

“Having a lovely time here,” he said before thanking Robert for being a “fantastic ambassador” for the Earthshot Prize. William is in town for the awards ceremony, which is set to take place on Wednesday, November 6.

The Earthshot Prize awards ceremony has been described by William’s team as his “Super Bowl moment.” The Prince of Wales founded the prize in 2020 and unveiled the 15 finalists for this year in September. Five winners will take home $1.3 million to continue their environmentally focused ventures.

“It’s wonderful to see that many brilliant minds and enthusiasm and energy and changemakers all in one room. When I founded the Earthshot Prize, it was around trying to find solutions and to scale these solutions as fast as possible to make an impact,” William said during a panel hosted in Cape Town on Tuesday. “It’s allowing young people hope and a platform to channel their urgent optimism to deliver solutions. They are the ones I want to give the platform to … and take it where they feel it’s going to be most useful and to see it as something that provides a better future for them and their families.”
