Return To Paradise has been given a release date and it's just around the corner.

The Australian adaptation of Death in Paradise features Home and Away actress Anna Samson as DI Mackenzie Clarke, who finds herself returning to her hometown of Dolphin Cove in Australia after being accused of evidence tampering.

The cast also includes Lloyd Griffith from Ted Lasso, Tai Hara from Home and Away, Catherine McClements from Total Control, Celia Ireland from Wentworth, Andrea Demetriades from Mother and Son, and Aaron McGrath from Gold Diggers.

The show's synopsis reveals: "Having fled the town six years ago, infamously leaving her ex- fiancee Glenn at the altar, Mackenzie is not welcome here. But with no other job options and a unique talent for solving a mystery, no matter how challenging, a reluctant Mack joins the team at Dolphin Cove Police Station.

The series is set to premiere on BBC One on Friday, November 22 at 8pm, with producers hopeful that it will replicate the success of Beyond Paradise, which stars Kris Marshall as DI Humphrey Goodman, reports Wales Online.

In a significant shake-up for the beloved series Death In Paradise, Don Gilet will be stepping into the shoes of Ralf Little as the new lead detective. After DI Neville Parker, portrayed by Ralf Little, left the show at the conclusion of the previous season to embark on travels with Florence Cassell, the baton has been passed to DI Mervin Wilson.

Don Gilet expressed his excitement about the role, saying: "Being offered the new lead role in Death in Paradise feels like a deeply loved and incredibly precious jewel has been placed in my hands. This is a big show, with a big heart and the love continually grows for it.

"It is my intention to never lose sight of that and to remain grateful, humbled and dedicated. Even during those testing times when every sinew is screaming at me to run off the set and dive into the sea, swimming pool or an ice-cold beer."
