Limp Bizkit have confirmed that they are back in the studio working on a new album.
READ MORE: Download Festival 2024 review: despite all odds, a promising step in a new directionAs reported by Consequence Of Sound, the band’s frontman Fred Durst shared an update on the band’s official Instagram Stories. In the story, Durst is seen with drummer John Otto tracking drums in a studio.
“Oh shit, in the studio with John Otto ⦠we âbout to lay it down with those drumsticks dawg,â Durst said. âLetâs get that funky funky. Letâs get that Limp Bizkit popping off.” A second Insta Story shared saw Otto playing a snappy beat with a caption that read: “HUMAN DRUM MACHINE.â
The new album would serve as a follow-up to Limp Bizkit’s 2021 LP ‘Still Sucks’. The album marked their first full-length release in a decade, following on from 2011’s ‘Gold Cobra’.

In other news, the band have been playing a number of âLoservilleâ live shows throughout this summer, and made headlines for breaking out âClunkâ live for the first time in 14 years, joining Corey Feldman on stage following his guitar solo going viral, pulling a raucous crowd in Argentina and more.
Following a huge slot at Download this year, festival boss Andy Copping recently suggested that they should return as headliners next time around.
It was also recently reported that Limp Bizkit had filed a lawsuit against Universal Music for $200million (£152.7m) â alleging that the members ânever received any royaltiesâ until recently.
