The singer previously endorsed Harris as Vice President in the lead-up to the 2020 election, calling her “intelligent” and “compassionate”, and highlighting the sexism she had faced during the campaign.

Now, she’s backed Harris once again in her bid for the presidency. In a post shared to Instagram yesterday (October 31), Madonna shared she was leaving Paris to come home and vote for the Democratic candidate.

“Paris was so FUN! . It was hard to leave, but I had. to come home to V.O.T.E. ,” she wrote in the caption. “@kamalaharris For. President!!!! ”

Madonna joins a host of other stars to throw their support behind Harris, including Beyoncé, Charli XCX, Joni Mitchell, Chappell Roan, Megan Thee Stallion, Cher, Lizzo, Eminem, Usher, P!nk, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bad Bunny, Bon Iver, Quavo, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Mumford & Sons, GloRilla, Amy Lee of Evanescence and Finneas.

Bruce Springsteen recently played at a Harris rally in Atlanta, while in September, Taylor Swift wrote that she would also be voting for the current Vice President “because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them”.

Yesterday (October 31), the cast of Marvel’s Avengers, including Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Don Cheadle, reunited to endorse Harris in an Instagram clip.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, a former Republican governor of California, has also said he is voting for Harris. “I will always be an American before I am a Republican,” he said. “That’s why, this week, I am voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I’m sharing it with all of you because I think there are a lot of you who feel like I do. You don’t recognise our country. And you are right to be furious.”

High-profile backers of Trump include Kid Rock, Kelsey Grammer, Kanye West and Hulk Hogan.

In other Madonna news, she recently confirmed that she is back in the studio in London, and working with Stuart Price – who co-produced her 2005 album ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’ among others – again.

If the new material they’re working on turns out to be a new album, it’ll mark the first LP from Madonna since her 2019 release ‘Madame X’.

Earlier this month, her brother Christopher Ciccone died at the age of 63 from cancer.

Christopher worked closely with his sister early on in her career, serving as the art director on her Blond Ambition World Tour in 1990 and as the tour director on 1993’s The Girlie Show tour.

Madonna shared a tribute for him, calling him “the closest human to me for so long”.
