Former GB News presenter details 'regret' of joining show in brutal dig
A former GB News presenter has spoken out about "regrets" from being on the controversial channel, while appearing on ITV's This Morning.
Mercy Muroki took a savage swipe at the news channel, which is home to presenters such as Eamonn Holmes and Andrew Pierce. The topic of Davina McCall saying there's no such thing as mistakes came up in discussion as Mercy added her own thoughts on the matter, referring to her previous work.
She told This Morning presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary: "Yeah I've had a few regrets, a few relationships." She paused before adding: "My being on GB News for example."
Dermot broke out in laughter as he wooped at her admission, and said: "Wow, I love stuff like this!" Meanwhile Alison asked: "Has that been one of your regrets?" She went on to ask why that is.
Mercy replied: "To be fair it was an amazing experience. But perhaps sometimes you look back and you think 'hm, maybe in retrospect... probably wouldn't have done that.'

Mercy had quite a lengthy stint on GB News, with her presenting shows on the channel from May 2021 to October 2022.
She co-hosted Brazier & Muroki, with veteran anchor Colin Brazier. In August 2021, Brazier & Muroki was replaced by To the Point, which she then co-hosted with Patrick Christys.
Sharing the news of her depature back in 2022, the TV host took to Twitter, writing: "I've decided it's right for me to part ways with GB News. I wish my former colleagues all the best.

GB News was recently hit with a £100,000 fine from Ofcom over impartiality during its People's Forum: The Prime Minister live show with Rishi Sunak.
The media regulator concluded the former PM was given a "mostly uncontested platform to promote the policies and performance of his government" during the show, in the run-up to the 2024 General Election.
GB News is challenging the decision and says that Ofcom's fine "remains subject to the outcome of a judicial review".
